Professor Saul Olyan Explores Biblical Animal Rights During Cambridge Fellowship

While on sabbatical this semester, Saul M. Olyan spent a month as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Animal Rights Law at the University of Cambridge. During his visit, he presented a new paper entitled “Does Isaiah 66:3 Equate Animal Sacrifice with Murder?” The paper was subsequently reviewed and accepted by the Journal of Animal Ethics, and has been fast-tracked to appear in 2027. While in England, he also presented his paper “Biblical Rights: Human and Animal” at the Universities of Oxford and Exeter, and at King’s College, London.
