Judaic Studies Student Research Awards

Purpose

The Program in Judaic Studies aims to promote and support the study of Jews and Judaism across Brown University. To that end, we announce research grants for Brown graduate students working in related fields. Funds may be used in a wide variety of ways, including acquisition of research materials, expenses related to presenting a paper at a conference, etc.  Preference will be given to those who have taken courses in or who plan to work with an adviser in the Program in Judaic Studies. 

Qualification

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at Brown University and have no outstanding Judaic Studies research awards from a previous round. For detailed information on submission requirements, request an application cover sheet from judaic@brown.edu.  Submissions must include a completed cover sheet, a budget, and formal request in pdf format.  Reimbursement for expenses will be made upon successful submission of supporting receipts in accordance with Brown University policies.

Award distribution: After submission of proof of expense and in accordance with Brown policies.
