This festschrift honors the work of Stanley K. Stowers, a renowned specialist in the field of Pauline studies and early Christianity, on the occasion of his sixty-fifth birthday and retirement from Brown University. The collection includes twenty-eight essays on theory and history of interpretation, Israelite religion and ancient Judaism, the Greco-Roman world, and early Christianity, a preface honoring Stowers, and a select bibliography of his publications.

Caroline Johnson Hodge is Associate Professor of New Testament at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is the author of If Sons, Then Heirs: A Study of Kinship and Ethnicity in the Letters of Paul (Oxford University Press).

Saul M. Olyan is Samuel Ungerleider Jr. Professor of Judaic Studies and Professor of Religious Studies at Brown University. Daniel Ullucci is Assistant Professor in Religious Studies at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He is the author of The Christian Rejection of Animal Sacrifice (Oxford University Press).
