The Judaic Studies Workshop offers a regular forum for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and graduate students throughout the university to share their work with colleagues. Papers deal with a wide range of topics over time and space, and we are especially interested in fostering interdisciplinary conversations.
We meet over lunch (provided) approximately once a month. Papers are about 15-35 pages and pre-circulated 1-2 weeks prior to the meeting to those who have registered to attend. After a brief contextual presentation, the remaining part of the hour is devoted to discussion.
To join our google group or to volunteer to present a paper, please email Susan_Rottenberg@Brown.edu. Questions can also be referred to Michael_Satlow@Brown.edu (convener, fall 2026).
